Cancellation & Refund Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this cancellation policy is to set a precedent for both you and Survival Arts Academy. We are intentional with our communication and want to ensure that every participant is aware of our policies. It is the responsibility of the participant to read this Cancellation Policy in its entirety. Should you have any questions, please e-mail us at: asurvivalarts@gmail.com.
Application & Deposit
The application is free, but the deposit is non-refundable. We are intentional about our efforts for Survival Arts Retreats and have constructed a team of individuals who will review every application to ensure that we choose people who are serious about this experience.
Cancellation policy
We are aware that things come up that are out of your control and may prompt you to need to cancel your reservation. Please carefully read our cancellation policy below:
All sales are final. All payments received are non-refundable: full payments, installment payments, deposits and late payments. No exceptions. Valid for reschedule due to natural calamities or medical emergencies at the discretion of retreat organizers.
Reservations made after January 1, 2023 will not be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy, except where the guest or host is currently sick with COVID-19. COVID-19 related circumstances not covered include: transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandatesβlike evacuation orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals, and shelter-in-place requirements. The cancellation policy will apply as usual.
The only exception to this policy is if Survival Arts cancels the Retreat. Though it is not our intention to do so, we understand that there are many elements out of our control (e.g. in the event of a natural disaster, pandemic or border closure). If under these circumstances, the retreat is cancelled, an e-mail will be sent to all participants with instructions on how the refund will be provided at our discretion.
It is recommended to be proactive and purchase travel and flight insurance to cover your trip should a circumstance arise resulting in health issues, cancellations or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Delinquencies
There is a five (5) day grace period and any payment received after said day will incur a $50.00 late payment fee. Survival Arts reserves the right to cancel a reservation if the reservation is two payments delinquent. It is the responsibility of the participant to make arrangements ahead of time should their reservation fall delinquent.
Travel Insurance
Each participant is responsible for checking with their current health insurance provider and ensuring that they have adequate medical coverage. Travel insurance generally offers medical insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance coverage you purchase is suitable for your particular needs. There are many travel insurance agencies β please do your research and find one that works best for you. Please note that this insurance is not mandatory.
