FOOD IS MEDICINE is a 4-part series to explore healing through food. Learn how to cook vegetarian Filipino dishes in the ilonggo tradition, sharing lessons of nutrition and culture along the way. Star vegetables include ube, cassava, and more!

We are honored to feature our elder, who will take us on a journey from her organic farm to her kitchen & bakery, sharing knowledge along the way.

Sessions will be conducted weekly on Zoom, with a writing reflection and class discussion. All recipes and cooking videos are made available to students to watch on their own throughout the duration of the course. Students are encouraged to share their own dishes and upload pics inspired by the course!

Open to all pilipinx / pinay, black, indigenous womxn and non-binary people of color. This gathering is offered to support our elder and her family in the Philippines throughout the pandemic and beyond. Donations are graciously accepted to sustain her livelihood and small organic farm. Registration is currently closed. Please look out on our events page for upcoming offerings!
